1. You can register for classes by calling Underwater Adventure during business hours 10am-7pm. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early the first day of class to complete the registration form and complete your payment for the class.
  2. Due to the fact that the instructor has to stick to a very strict schedule and start and end on time we need you as the parent to prepare your child ahead of time in the area of discipline. We understand that being separated from a parent can be difficult at first with the new "stranger" in the child's life. We will try our best to have fun with your child while they are learning to swim. However, we are here to help your child learn how to swim and cannot take a lot of time to keep repeating directions to your child when they are either refusing to listen or are crying for you. If the instructor sees that your child is just not wanting to participate we will have to end the lesson early and that will end the lesson for that day. There will be no make up session if this happens. Sorry, no exceptions.
  3. If you have a 30 min. private lesson scheduled; 25 min. in the water and up to 5 min. discussion w/ the parent so the instructor can take time to talk to you about what needs to be practiced before the next lesson so the instructor can be on the road to the next scheduled lesson. Please be sensitive to this as the instructor needs to stick to the schedule for the next student. If you want to talk more in depth you can send an email to discuss things or call the instructor on the cell phone.
  4. There are no make up classes. If your child misses a class due to illness, we will issue an in-store credit if you provide a doctor's excuse. If classes are cancelled due to an instructor illness or a pool issue, we will reschedule the class. If you miss the class, you cannot bring your child to another class during the week, regardless if there is space or not. This is not fair to the children in the class by disrupting the continuity of the classes.
  5. No food, drink or gum is allowed in the pool area.
  6. Parents must sit away from child in all classes. You may sit on the benches or watch from the conference room. Parents are responsible for their children in the pool area while the child is not in water.
  7. Parents and children cannot use the pool facility while classes are in session.
  8. Upon arrival, check-in at the front desk. When you arrive to the pool area, you and your child may sit on the benches until the child's class is called over to the water by the instructor.
  9. If you need to speak to the instructor, it is best to wait until class is over OR write your name and phone number on a piece of paper and the instructor will contact you after he/she is out of the water.
  10. Please go over the water rules with your child before classes begin. If your child is on the dock, his/her hands must be on the white bar, feet on the dock and head above the water. If your child is on the wall, his/her one hand must be on the wall and head above the water. These rules are to provide the safest environment for your child regardless of level of swimming.
  11. Please ask your child if he/she needs to use the restroom before class. If your child is 4 or under, he/she must wear a swim diaper (reusable or disposable). REGULAR DIAPERS are not permitted; these fill with water and weigh your child down as well as not provide proper coverage in case of an accident.
  12. If there is only one person enrolled in a class, the class may be cancelled or moved to another time. We will work with you and attempt to work this out for the best of your schedule. It is important to put a second alternate time for the classes when you register; this will enable us to accommodate your needs.
